SUMMER CAMP 2016

All Toddlers & Preschoolers in both our Full Day and Half Day programs will enjoy our Summer Camp themes!

Week 1 (July 5-July 8) Good Old Fashioned Fun
Join us for some good old fashioned fun! Let your children experience all the wonderful things you remember from Summer. Activities will include: hopscotch, sidewalk chalk, bubbles, TV tag, Red Light Green Light, kickball, hide and seek and much more!

Week 2 (July 11-15) Little Chefs
Children will have fun mixing and measuring as they put their science, math and motor skills to the test while they learn to make some simple but yummy recipes. Each of our little chefs will get to decorate their own apron to take home!

Week 3 (July 18-22) Underwater Adventure
Let’s explore the deep blue sea! Learn about marine environments and the wonders of marine life. Special Visitor: Cornell Cooperative Extension will bring their Whale Wonders Program to us. (In-house field trip fee required)

Week 4 (July 25-29) Little Bookworms
Kids love to read! This week’s activities will be based on books written by some of the most beloved Children’s authors such as: Eric Carle, Dr. Seuss, Tomy DiPaolo, Margaret Wise Brown, Ezra Jack Keats & Many More!

Week 5 (August 1– August 5) Around The World in 5 Days
Lets learn about some of the countries that will be competing at this years Summer Olympics. Children will enjoy music, stories, art and food with an international twist! Each child will stamp their special passport as they “travel” from country to country.

Week 6 (August 8-12) Summer Olympics
Join us as we celebrate the 2016 Olympics Island Kids style! Children will learn about many of the sports that are included in the Olympic games. Special Visitor: The Jump Bunch will visit us with an Olympic themed in house field trip. (field trip fee required)

Week 7 (August 15-19) Dinosaur Dig
Calling all Junior Paleontologists! Lets learn all about these creatures of the past! Stories, games, art and music all with a dinosaur twist. Children will enjoying making their own fossils as well as hunting for fossils outside at our own dinosaur dig site!

Week 8 (August 22-26) Mad Science!
Join us at the Island Kids lab for a week filled with exciting experiments and messy science fun! Explore concepts such as sink & float, states of matter, chemical reactions and more.
