Other early childhood centers just don’t compare to Island Kids! At Island Kids, we combine the positive aspects of new educational research and technologies with all of the tried and true, “good old-fashioned” aspects of traditional nursery schools of the past. You won’t find any pre-printed curriculum developed at corporate headquarters here! We vary our curriculum, activities and programs as needed based on the individual needs and interests of each child and group of children.
Our programs focus on all areas of development and learning. These areas include:

We believe children learn best through a play oriented, hands-on approach. Our curriculum is based on weekly and monthly themes. Learning centers will be used to enhance children’s understanding of a particular theme. These centers will include art, music, language arts, science, math, social studies, computers, dramatic play, fine motor, gross motor and cooking.
Our Classrooms and Staff
We have separate classrooms for infants (3 months-17 months), toddlers (18-36 months), three-year-olds and four-year-olds. Each class is limited in size and staffed according to the proper staff to child ratio for that particular age group. Our classrooms are spacious and well equipped with a variety of age-appropriate educational materials. We have both indoor and outdoor play facilities available. Our staff is committed to providing the highest quality care and education in a safe and healthy environment. Each class is led by qualified, experienced, and nurturing teachers and assistants.
